Hey there! I’ve been MIA for a few weeks but for good reason…I got married! Twice!
We had planned a small ceremony with our families in Ireland, but we had to visit the local courthouse to make it legal first. It was a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone!
My mom made me a beautiful succulent bouquet – it was heavy! I took it apart the next day and replanted them.
A week later, we were off to Ireland! John and I flew over with my parents. It was their first trip there and I think it’s safe to say they loved it.
My parents stayed in a cottage that had a gorgeous horse in the back field. His name means ‘King’ in Gaelic. All you had to do was whistle and he would come meet you!
There’s always a new addition when we visit. One of my goals is to take one of the courses at the school one summer. They have a 12 week certificate course, and shorter courses that range from 5 weeks to 1/2 day specialty classes.
Okay – on to wedding day! Our plan was to have the ceremony in a garden but it POURED RAIN nearly the entire day.
What a hunk.
Taking an apple to King.
Thanks for posing!
Time to get married…again! My sister-in-law was essentially our wedding planner. All I did was find my dress, which I found at Something Old, Something New in Escondido, and she and my husband did the rest of the planning. A lot of my time is spent trying to balance work with school, studying to be a smarty pants nutritionist!
Since it was raining, our back up plan was to have the ceremony in the Ballymaloe conservatory. Another one of my favorite places. I think the rain made it even more picturesque.
BRB – gotta go take a few photos!
Can’t let that train drag on the ground!
Let me know if you have any questions about traveling to Ireland! We went to Greece for our honeymoon, but that will be a separate post altogether. Of course the food gets its own post, too. Have a great week!
