Here’s Some Cool Stuff From This Summer: Puppy Edition!

By September 4, 2019 No Comments

This summer was low-key. Uncomplicated, if you will. There was a lot of hanging around the house with our puppy Frankie that we adopted in March. She loves chasing butterflies, playing with ice cubs, and going to the dog park! Although she’s currently going through a naughty phase and chewed a hole in our living room rug and chewed up one of John’s flip-flops…all in one week. Aside from that, she’s an angel! Okay, let’s check out what fun stuff our family got up to this summer.

I read a lot of books. It’s always nice to take a break from screens.

I also baked a lot of healthy treats! These chickpea blondies tasted like fudge. YUM.

John and I drank smoothies nearly EVERY DAY this summer. I played around with ingredients and now regularly add in frozen zucchini, cauliflower, beets, or butternut squash.

It’s no secret that I am obsessed with plants and flowers. I document my favorite local finds on Instagram @plantloversguidesd!

Luckily John tolerates my demand to find planty places wherever we travel, too. We saw plants in Munich!

Plants in Austria!

Plants in Ireland!

And plants during a quick trip to Denver!

We had some friends and family visit from out of town. I always take guests to Sunset Cliffs, one of my favorite places on earth.

Frankie graduated from puppy training! She was not interested in that cap.

We got together with friends to plan our next international trip in October. Parlez-vous français?!?!

Okay, one more puppy pic before you go. I hope you had a beautiful summer!
